WELL, THIS IS IT, AND I HAVE ENJOYED ALL OF THE COMPANY AND NEW THINGS THAT I HAVE LEARNED FROM ALL OF YOU.......UNIT 10

What advice would you now give to someone writing his/her first scientific paper?

The first thing that I would suggest to someone who has never written a pape of this type is to make sure that you have plenty of information on all of the sections that you would like your paper to have in it.

Who cares if you have to much information, you can sort through it and if anything has to be changed or enhanced at the end of the term before the paper is due, you will have enough information to C.Y.A. if needed in the end.

When you turn in your final paper don't for get to follow the directions and add the abstract page as one of us in the class did. It is one of the hardest parts of the paper and I realized to late that I had not added it, even though my title page has an abstract written on it.

Don't worry if anyone is going to like what you have choosen to write about. As long as the paper follows the guide lines and it is something that peaks your intrest, you are writting for yourself not someone else.

Don't stress out over the paper relax and have fun with it, not all research papers have to have total seriousness, a little humor here and there makes for a more intresting read.

Good Luck to anyone new who might read this post,

P.S. This will be my last post of this term, good luck to all.

...AND NOW THE END IS NEAR..... (LOL, cant remember who wrote this) UNIT 9

(THIS IS A SAND SCULPTURE, AMAZING WHAT YOU
CAN DO WITH SAND, ISN'T IT????????? )

With your paper done or almost done, how do you feel ?

Well, I'm not exactly sure if I feel relief or not with my paper done and read a thousand times. I'm sure it is ready to turn in but I am going to wait until closer to the end of the week. I have handed out the new edit pens to the friends and am patiently waiting for their feed back. I have 4 total out and have heard from only 1 so far.

I am nervous though, I think we all get this way when there is a grade pending a very important paper of this type, being a final grade and all.

I have a sense of accomplishment, I know that there is nothing more to do then wait, which sometimes is the hardest part of all, like waiting for the arrival of a new baby.

I am very tired as I spent most of the night and pretty much all of today finishing this paper as I have to find time to finish the other class final paper also. I did however choose to finish this paper first, as I had the most information to work with to finish it.

I have good feelings about writing after this term. I have finally achieved the gift of writing APA citations in the right format. I have also learned how to use the hang function of the 2007 word, which is something that I did not know how to do. My idea of writing has only grown as I am able to more easily incorporate citation into papers now and I will be using this form of writing alot I think in the future.

I don't have specific topic to research, as I have said in the past I didn't even know I was going to write about this final paper topic until I started to look through the Kaplan Library. I am a spontaneous writer so I never know from one minute to the next what I am going to write about until something catches my eye.

DO YOU PLAN TO CONTUNUE BLOGGING???? UNIT 8

I must admit that I have enjoyed the experience of blogging back and forth with my fellow classmates, even though there has not been alot of interaction with this idea as Kaplan had thought there would be. Not that there couldn't have been had everyone answered back and forth as planned.

I don't see that there is a need for blogging after class has finished for the term. I didn't blog before this class, I didn't have time not to mention the types of people out there in the world to blog back and forth with.

To be honest with all of you I feel that blogging is for people who have nothing better to do with their spare time. I have enjoyed blogging with my class mates though. The ones who did in fact take time to read and blog back.
